Friday's Dating/Romance Advice for Boys and Girls

Always try to date girls/guys that have several hot single friends. Therefore if it doesn't work out with the individual you're dating, you always have the option of dating one of their friends. It's like an insurance policy.

**** disclaimer - This is not my advice and does not reflect my personal view of relationships ****

Poor Drunken Lush

I went out partying with a few of my co-workers this weekend to celebrate my boards certification. Had a great time. A meal always taste better when someone else is paying for it. Although everytime I order a steak, it's always fucked up and over done. If order it medium well , I receive it burnt. If I order it medium, I receive it well done. From now on I just gonna asked for my steaks RAW.

We went to a few clubs. I even parked my Saleen in the VIP parking lot (yep, I'm shallow). We stayed til last call and went to an all night diner for some food. I get a real kick out of watching the parade of inebriated people that stumble in and out.

I decided to order some waffles. There were 3 guys in their early 20's sitting at the table next to ours. They were having a deep polictical discussion. There was a young attractive brunette sitting next to them who appeared to be zoned out. She stood up suddenly to go to the restroom and nearly toppled over because she was so unsteady. After she left for the rest room we overheard the 3 men discussing that they did not know this girl before that night. They picked her up at one of the clubs in a severely drunk state, they also mentioned some hope of getting lucky with her that night (poor girl).

My waffles arrived and I started eating. The drunk girl left the bathroom and headed for the table with her 3 new male friends. Before she made it to their table, she lost her footing, bent over in my direction, put her hand over her mouth (Oh No!) and vomitted all over my shoes and over herself. I kinda lost my appetite after that. The people I was with just kept on eating (healthcare workers).

The girl went back to the bathroom and made a poor attempt to clean herself up, unfortunately she still had vomit all over her pants and shirt. The three guys she were with showed no concern whatsoever during the entire incident. They decided to leave and she followed them out of the diner. I just pray those guys will have enough decency to clean her up and take her home.

Lucky for me it was not my favorite pair of shoes...LOL

OBTW ... I passed my boards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I Can Finally Put this Shit Back on The Shelf

I Passed!!! I'm officially BOARD CERTIFIED. It's a great feeling, almost surreal. This entire process is finally over.

My first act of celebration will be to shred the dozens of copies of my case list lying around my condo:-)

Thanks to all you guys for your encouragement.

Now back to blogging about the stuff you really want to read about...blood, sex and STD's

Fear, Anger and Self-doubt

My exam scores still aren't back yet.

I feel ashamed of myself for worrying so much. (It's strange)

When I walk into a critical situation on labor and delivery, I can easily remain composed. When I'm confronted with a patient who is seizing or hemorrhaging to death, I know what I have to do inorder to stabilize that patient and resolve the situation. These things are second nature to me.

I can't unsterstand why this certification exam is stressing me out. I can't understand why the entire process has caused me to doubt myself and my abilities.

This is one of the few times in my life when I feel like I don't have control (maybe that is why I'm frustrated and angry)

What I've discovered a long time ago is that my faith has a way of holding it all together+
