WHAT!!!!!!
Myself and a few male friends offered to throw a bachelor party for a co-worker who is getting married at the end of the month.
He agreed to the bachelor party but declined any "female entertainment"
We were all outraged!!!

Our Major Human Flaw
A failure to believe in something greater than ourselves.
Does the latter derail us from our journey towards a better world?

No Hot Water!
I was on call at the University Hospital last night. It was a fairly quiet night. But when I went to take my am shower, there was not hot water. I think my nuts shrunk to the size of peas. I Can't stand beginning my day without a steaming hot shower. It's strange how simple things can make one so happy. I must be getting old.

A Lil Help From my Sibling
My sister flew into town from the Eastcoast this weekend for a short visit. She was also very curious about my new house (I still haven't moved in yet). The carpet salesman came by on Sat, took measurements and gave me a an estimate of about $5100 on wall to wall carpet. Is that a good price? I'm gonna get a second estimate. The carpeted area would likely be less than 2700 sq ft. The previous owner was a smoker and I really want to get that old carpet ripped up. My sister loved the lake view and the pool. She even started pricing other houses in the neighborhood not believing I got the house so cheap (when compared to the Eastcoast market).
Hornets had built a large nest outside my third garage door. Ignorant to the fact that water had no effect on them (only making them more angry) I sprayed them with the water hose and they swarmed after us. We ran to the car and jumped in. Later I purchases hornet and wasp killer that did the trick. NO FREE HOUSING!
When went to the hardware store, and I picked out a kitchen countertop and new stainless steel Whirlpool kitchen appliances at a great price. My sister declared the current stove unfit to cook on. The range is fairly nasty. All in all, I got alot done this weekend. And she made it safely back to DC.

!
I'm swamped with work! Life was much more simple when I was a student.
But it really sucked being broke all the time.

Not as Hard as it Looks
I went up to Chi-Town to hang out for a little bit this weekend and didn't get back to town until midnight......I'm regretting it now on this Monday morning.
The pool guy came by Saturday morning before I left town. He went thru total pool maintenance with me (step by step) It's actually fairly easy and kinda fun. (and beats dishing out 75 bucks a week to have someone do it for you). Now I finally understand the concept of "shocking" a pool. The maintenance is divided into 2 week cycles which makes it easy to remember.
The pool guy also noted my water level was low causing my skimmer not to function properly. I added water on Sat and now my skimmer works great. No longer do I have to utilize the net on the long pole to pick up stray leaves and other floaters. The skimmer does it automatically. Plus, last week while I was picking up leaves, I lost my footing and nearly fell in , fully clothed. Grabbing the side rail was the only thing that stopped me. My neighbors would have loved that.
From now on, I'm cleaning the pool in my swim trunks

Should I?
My condo hasn't sold yet. Should I?
1) Live in this house I just purchased?
2) Make some moderate improvements, sell it and take a nice profit?
