Summer's End

The Summer is nearly over before it began, and I'm slightly depressed.

The one thing I truly miss about my childhood, is summer vacation trips with my family. The Beach, Amusement Parks, National Parks and most importantly road trips.

A vacation trip (to me) represents an undeniable indication that summer is here and in full swing. As a working adult, I don't find the time for vacations often and Summer had a tendency to pass by unnoticed.

I'm headind back to DC at the end of the month to visit my family, but, I'm gonna make a detour toward the beach and hang out for two or three days.

Summer may be coming to an end, but I still can enjoy some childhood nostalgia...not to mention crab cakes and all you can eat (fresh) seafood buffets. ;-)

Keep Pickin Away

It's been very slow going. I'm frustrated with trying to learn to play on my on. I'm going to sign up for lessons at a local music store...I think that will force me to practice more too. I keep hearing from various sources that it take about a year to become proficient with regular practice.

I've been listening to Ben Harper and the IC quite abit lately. I love their sound...It's been described as "acoustic soul" Maybe I missed my true calling?? Maybe Not;-)
