Dumbass!!!!

I forgot to buy Halloween candy tonite.

I also forgot that I just moved into a neighborhood with tons of families and children. (I'm no longer in the condo comm. with only singles and retirees.)

A bunch of kids came rapping at my door tonite (even with the exterior lights off) and I had nothing to give them. All I could do is hide out in my office and leave all the lights inside the house off.

450 #

I performed a C-section today on a patient that tipped the scales at 450 lbs. It went remarkably well considering.

Scared

I'm currently overwhelmed. I'm moved into the new house and trying to handle multiple projects divided between this house, my old condo and my job. It's very hard and I'm not staying as focused as I should.

I'll finally admit it.....I'm OCD. I don't like things in disarray. I can not function that way. My OCD is a survival mechanism. Staying organized offsets my tendency to procrastinate.

Wish me luck

Torn

My sister was still in town from DC this weekend after helping me move into my new house.

We decided to go to the Colts game since they were playing the Redskins and my sis is a hard core fan.

I cheered hard for the Colts, but deep down inside my soul, I wanted the Skins to do well. I guess you never stop being a Washington fan.

Movin

My folks are in town. They're mainly here to motivate my move into my new house. I'm glad regardless (it's been March since I've last seen them).

My mother was very concerned since I closed on the house in mid-June and still haven't moved out of my condo yet.

Things are going smoothly right now, I should be completely moved by friday. I was hoping to be move before my parents arrived, but it wasn't in the cards for me.

Complement

I received a compliment from a patient the other day. It was a very subtle compliment, but it meant a lot to me. She said, "You know, in the past I haven't like male gynecologist very much.....But you're ok."

Why did I receive this gracious comment?

Because I took more than 5 minutes out of my busy clinic schedule to listen to what was really bothering her (and it wasn't medical in nature).

Sadly, it's a lesson that I'm only recently learning. (This should be the first lesson males learn in kindergarten:-)

MVA

I got into a car accident this morning on my way to work. Neither myself nor the other driver considered ourselves at fault. It was in the middle of very busy traffic, so I directed her to a safe side street so we could exchange info and assess damage. There was minimal damage to my truck but her car sustained most of the damage. In retrospect, I think I should have called the police to have a report filed, but I didn't see the purpose at the time (we were both OK, and I figured the police had better things to do). I called my insurance agent, he said, since there was no police report, it would be her word against mine. He told me to get an estimate on my truck, and if it's close to the deductible , I shouldn't file a claim.

I really tired of paying out of pocket, when my truck was keyed in DC, I paid the cost of the repair myself. Why the f--k do I pay these premiums???

My Very Last HNT

Have a happy one. I sorry, I've run out of presentable body parts :-(

(that's assuming you consider what I shown so far as presentable)

Peace

Moving Pt I

My plan is to start packing up my condo this week. I'm finally starting to get excited about my new house eventhough the pool will be closed in two weeks. I'm also starting to become very anxious when I think about the tremendous amount of financial responsibility that goes with home ownership. I'm very worried that my condo hasn't sold yet (My realtor and I have different thoughts regarding a remedy that situation). Regardless, I can't stay comfortable in my condo forever and it's time to move to new surroundings. Human are just as territorial as animals). My folks are coming out near the middle of the month to help me decorate...I should have the guest bedroom all set up for them by that time.

I'm definitely gonna hire movers. (this will give me a reason to buy new furniture after the movers f--k up my old furniture)
